Michael Hill has had a life long passion that has opened many doors. Michael played basketball at Southwestern Christian and Oklahoma Christian University. Michael also played professionally for Oklahoma Impact (semi pro), overseas in Iceland and finished up his professional career with the Harlem Ambassadors, which allowed him to travel the world. Forever impacted by the many opportunities that came with his athletic career Michael wanted to share his knowledge with the basketball community.

Michael has run camps, clinics, leagues and 1-on-1 training. These various opportunities has allowed him to hold camps in Mexico and China. Michael has also been blessed to travel to China numerous times where he has helped lead camps for NBA player Dwayne Wade and the Li-Ning brand. He also lead camps for CBA/NBA player Zho-Qui where over 100 kids attended the camp. The most rewarding accomplishment to date is starting a skills academy with world renowned trainer/mentor Tyler Relph where Michael was in China for 2 months laying the foundation for Dr1ven Academy China.

Above The Rest was founded on the basis of principles to not only teach basketball at a high level but build relationships and great people through the game of basketball.
